State legislators are proposing three bills that would allow Coloradans to sue federal agents for violating their constitutional rights, ban ICE and CBP from becoming police officers in Colorado, and stem the flow of immigration detention centers into our state. But these reforms are at risk of being gutted or blocked altogether by Governor Polis and other conservative Democrats.
At this meeting, we'll be discussing how we can strategically engage with the legislative process to put pressure on Polis, give working people a sense of their own power, and make Colorado a safer place for immigrants and all residents.
